Who Is Em?
Born and raised in the Twin Cities. Em spent their childhood right here in Richfield, swimming at the Richfield Outdoor Pool and learning to golf at the former Rich Acres.

From an early age Em has been active in engaging the community she has lived in. In high school she helped form the first Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) for Burnsville High School. Giving gay and lesbian youth a place to go and find community.
She continued this engagement in her 20s working on multiple political and social justice campaigns, including being an original intern for Minnesotans United for All Families, the campaign for marriage equality for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Over the past 20 years they have also been active in multiple different non-profits serving as treasurer on serval board of directors, most recently with Chops Inc., a musical non-profit for the marching and drum core arts. This experience has given her the skills to read a balance sheet and see how to best utilize funds provided by generous donors.
Along with these experience Em worked in retail for close to 20 years and understands the hardships faced by our essential workers. And advocates for anyone that wants to join a union to be able to do so.
Lastly Em has been an engaged community member with youth, currently serving as a Girl Scouts troop leader here in Richfield and teaching private lessons on guitar and drums. Additionally, Em has been actively engaged with the youth of their church, serving as a religious education teacher, youth band director, and serving on her church’s parish council.
Em looks forward to bring all of her experiences and knowledge to serving the people of Richfield. She actively will seek out your thoughts and opinions, cause she knows that we all do better when we all do better.
